I am a snorer and I am very conscious of bothering other people so I am planning on not staying in the albergues or dormitory type accommodation but rather in hotels or private rooms. What will accommodation availability be like then? Its probably peak season. Will I have to book ahead or can I just get by just by finding accommodation as I go?
Thanks
If you want to book now go through Booking or Hotel.com. You will often be able to change or cancel reservations very close to the date of your booking. It is a risk to book ahead because you never know what may happen. It is really cool that you are being so considerate regarding your snoring. I never walk my camino at that time of the year but it is a luxury not many of us have. I know there are lots of pilgrims here who have and would have a better idea of when to book. I do have a feeling that if you are booking a day or two ahead you should be ok. But that is just a guess. Buen CaminoSo, I have finally booked the flight. I am planning to walk a stage of the Camino from 1 Aug to about 11th August.
That's when its best for me to take holidays and that's as much time as I can give it this time around. My intention is to do it in Stages as many others do.

Oh, honey, get a sleep study. If you have apnea it's bad for your health and relatively easy to treat!
I do have it, snore like a buzz saw, and rely on an easily portable dental appliance to treat.
Apart from the Sarria to Santiago stretch, I have found the Camino francés to be pretty much EMPTY in July/August.If you are walking the Camino Frances in August, and plan on booking lodging, I strongly suggest you do it now, not later.
