I am planing to go on Camino Portugues since 30.08.2014
Hello! I have heard about new albergue in Vila do Conde. Anybody knows about it? Is it truth?I need exactly albergue, hotel is rather expansive.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Hi, Albertinho! Thank you for answer. I am not sure but perhaps you are right and there is only albergue in Povoa ...

I was looking at something a year back and it showed a route from Povoa going to the central route at Rates, it intersects with the existing way from Vila do Conde, if that is your intention.

That is possible Mike. Póvoa is only 5 kms from Vila do Conde.
I want to start in that albergue next year May with my 3rd caminho to Santiago, following the coast all the way to Redondela.

Mikevasey, I am going to go from Porto to Vila do Conde and then turn on the central route to Barcelos and then go to Braga and spend a day there. And I did not decide yet should I come back to Barselos or go from Braga to Ponte de Lima.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-

When you go from Braga to Ponte de Lima instead of from Barcelos you will miss the best place to stay of the entire caminho Portuges from Porto casa da Fernanda in Vitorino dos Piaës If you haven't been there you have missed a lot of the right caminho feeling

From Barcelos you can take the bus to Braga. It is only 20 kms. Walk around in Braga, visit the beautiful Bom Jesus do Monte church and go back by bus to Barcelos and stay the next day at Fernanda's. You won't regret this

When we were there last year,we stayed at a campingsite in a summerhouse for one night just 3 kms before Vila do Conde but it was an expensive solution. (We paid 40€ for one night but to us it was worth while after 2 unquiet nights in a very bad hostal in Porto)
