Albergues near Santiago airport with late checkin

I will arrive in Santiago on Friday evening, potentially quite late (11 PM). I am planning to sleep in Santiago on Friday night and then either take a bus for the Camino Ingles or to walk to Finisterre.

I walked the Camino before but I don't know if I will be able to find accommodation in Santiago so late, especially because I won't have yet a Compostela. Any suggest on:

1)cheap accommodation that may accept someone to check in quite late
2)how to reach the city from the airport when is late

Good chance you will find others to share a taxi. Look for other arrivals with backpacks.

"Buses run every 20 to 30 minutes all days of the week between 07:00 hours and 23:00 hours. One-way tickets cost only € 1.00 and are available from the bus driver. Children up to the age of 18 can travel for a reduced fare and pay € 0.55 for a bus ride from the airport to the city or vice versa. You can also buy a ticket for 10, 20 or 30 bus rides called Bono. If you choose this option, the price for a single journey (maximum 60 minutes) is only € 0.60. A Bono card can be bought on board the bus and costs € 3.00, this amount will be refunded when the card is returned, but only if it’s in good condition. Please consult website and timetable bus line 6 for more information."

Looks like there's just enough time to catch one of the last buses to the center of Santiago.

I was planning to get a private room so I won't disturb people at midnight when I get in, but I haven't found a place with a decent price. Seems prices are up since I was there in March. Maybe I'll take another look at The Last Stamp. I've stayed there before and always liked it.

Thanks, this is very useful. I am a bit worried because on the website of the Santiago's airport there is just a reference to a bus company called Monbus. Unfortunately, on Monbus's website, I can only see busses to Lugo and Coruna and none to Santiago center.
I have also consider to stay in an albergue close to the Aiport (i.e. in Lavacolla) but I am not sure on how safe is to walk in the dark (I am not afraid of crime more of traffic)

No, I believe that there are 3 more buses after 11pm, i.e., at 11:30pm, 12 midnight and 12:30am.
