Distances show you (approximately!) how far there is from one city to another - a few examples

Lisboa 0
Parque das Nações (Lisboa) 8,8
Alpriate 16
Póvoa de Santa Iria 1

This show that there approximately is 8,8km's from Centre of Lisboa to Parque de Nações - thereafter there is approximately 16km's to Alpriate and after that one kilometer to Póvoa de Santa Iria

Hope it helped - the distances are taken from a variety of sources - some are mentioned on the sites where I found the accomodation places, some I have measured on GoogleMaps or found in descriptions in here..I'm pretty sure that they are not too accurate, but are there for an indication of the distances.

Oh! And if anyone knows a more precise distance between two places, I'm more than happy to update the document!

Bom caminho!
Christian

Many thanks Christian.
I thought it must work like that.

Hello fellow walkers. Anyone have any favourites from this massive list? I'm looking at walking the coastal from Porto to SdC. No tight budget but would like to see if I can manage on 50-75 Euro a day. Maybe a mix of accommodation. I don't want to miss out on the camaraderie but need my sleep!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi there
I could not access your excel sheet in the dropbox for your latest version of the Coastal route places to stay? Where can I access that? Very impressive details Also would like to have your map of your route if possible please?

Links updated - pls. check that they work now (looked like it when I tried!).

There's links to gps data as well - hope you can use those for the map of the route, alternatively I have uploaded it to viewranger and wikiloc so you should be able to get them there.

I get an error on dropbox as well asking me to sign in, I do, then saying I can not view gpx files (I think is what it said)

Hi @dfunghi

I have tested all the links in the post https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...df-route-portugues-route-monacal-coastal.404/ and they work as they should. Hovever, the "Download"-link ended in a 404, so I have changed that too.

You can also try to do this from the master list - change to sheet "Version and info", and there you'll find the links to pdf, excel and the .zip-file with the gpx-file. (Note that you should load the .gpx-file into some mapping tool, I use viewranger or maps.me with the .kml-file. If you try to open this from an iPad/iPhone using safari, it probably won't show it - but it should show the .pdf-file)

Hope it helps, otherwise contact me on the email in the master list and I'll happily send you the files

bom caminho

Thanks Christian,
As soon as time allows I will spend some time trying to get this all working on my end.

I do have one quick question since I can view the google doc. Where it says "distance" is that distance off of the Camino?

I am sure all my difficulties stem from user error on my end. I will ask for some help locally and also do some web research on all those suffix types as well as load correct viewing SW. I will also switch to Firefox or Chrome perhaps.

Thanks so much! Excellent resource. I moved to Porto and will do the PT route sometime soon after doing the Frances a few years ago. Great having the Camino literally on my doorstep!

Thank you so much for this resource. Did you select these lodgings for the list based on proximity to the camino? I'm looking for a moderately priced place to spend 2 nights in Porto. When I looked them up, some were outside of Porto--e.g. Horta. I'm wondering if that's because they are closer to the Camino.
