Anyone know of a description somewhere on how to avoid industrial quarters and elsewhere to leave the route to get a better experience ?
A lot of people talk about the nice deroutes to take to avoid industrial quarters an to see nice places but I cant find a description anywhere.

Just walked the lovely alternative route from Fromista today. Well worth the other extra km or so. Really beautiful and shaded by the stream and through wild flowers. You still get the senda experience for 6 kms into Carrion though.

Try Camino Inverno from Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostela, instead of Camino Francés.
