SJPDP to Logrono starting 9th May 2019
Dear all, due to the strikes in France, I am now booked to arrive in Bordeaux instead of Biarritz this Thurs 9th May. Looks like last train will be gone by the time my flight arrives at 4pm. Would anyone be driving to SJPDP or any other alternative. Will pay my way. Many thanks, Martin

Hi,
I’m not quite sure, is it transport from Bordeaux to Biarritz you’re after? In which case, the last train leaves Bordeaux at 20h02, arrives Biarritz 21h58. (From the SNCF website).
That is, provided they aren’t on strike - but I wasn’t aware of a strike on that particular day....

Hello. Thanks for replying. No, I would love to get from Bordeaux to St Jean Pied de Port this Thursday late afternoon. If anyone can addvise re buses or sharing a lift it would be great. Thank you.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Martin, have you looked at blablacar? Drivers post their journeys, and would-be passengers request one of the available spaces. It is not a taxi service, it is a journey sharing enterprise. You can be lucky, or not, depending on who is driving where on the day you need a lift. It is well managed, in my experience.

Thanks so much. Will try it out.

You're missing a golden opportunity to walk from Bordeaux to SJPD

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I have accommidation booked from SJPDP onto to Logrono so not sure walking there is a possibility?

Martin,

I fear you will not manage to reach St Jean tomorrow by public transport.

The 1645 train from Bordeaux places you at Bayonne at 1844 but the last train to SJ is 1830. There is a certain amount of confusion on sites such as Rome2Rio because there is a later service (at 2110) but only in July/August as far as I can ascertain from SNCF/TER website.

Buen Camino,

Mike.
