Availability of hiking poles N of Porto?

I'm 95% sure I won't need hiking poles to hike either the caminho costeiro or the caminho central (want to play it by ear). But if I find I could use them, how easy is it to find somewhere to either buy some or "inherit" some that another pilgrim decided s/he didn't need and left behind? I'll start in Porto, so if it comes up, I wouldn't discover I need them until somewhere north of there.
Obrigada!
Kari

Can't recall any shops that might carry poles last month when walking the coastal from Porto to Vila do Conde and then the Central from there.

I walked the CP a few weeks ago and my friend found hiking poles at a cafe called Pescaria near Ponte de Lima. Thet have a Facebook page if you would like to map the location - search for Pescaria - Parque de Pesca e Cafetaria.
