Hi, does anyone know if its possible to transfer bags from santiago de compostela to portomarin?
We're going to bus from santiago to sarria to start our walk and would be great to have our bags waiting in pirtomarin for us.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The Spanish postal service Correos transports bags. Use the info in this link to ask them any questions. They will respond quickly.

Oh thanks, I've tried them already, they only transfer bags towards santiago, not the other way. They weren't able to suggest any other company either so maybe that's not possible?

I've had Correos cancel on me at the last moment. It appears I was in a place that they collect from but was out of sync with their collection schedule despite asking. Used a taxi (€60) instead as fitting into the Correos schedule would have cost more than the taxi.

Oh that's a pity. I saw on a previous thread that a company NCS might help so I'm waiting to hear back from them. Thanks

I am not sure if any company goes the other way. TaxiCamino (on the Primitivo) handed me off to Javier Mochila Express when I got to Boente on the Frances. The latter used JacoTrans envelopes.

Make sure that the place you're going in Portomarin has your reservation and accepts bag transfers. Some apartment rentals don't.

Consider taking your bags to Sarria, overnight there, and ship from there to Portomarin.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Agree with dbier. Take your bags with you on the bus to Sarria. Then in the worse case, leave them in Sarria and take a day pack to Portomarin and walk back from there. It is not like you need all that much stuff to walk that short of a distance, is it?
