Camino Frances
Hi I’m planning on walking the Camino Frances Jun-Jul 2020. As it is the only timeframe I have to walk the Camino; what other route would be more comfortable?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
The Camino del Norte, because it is less popular and goes along the coast.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I don't know for sure but I'm (mis?)remembering reading many times on the forum that this isn't a good time for the Norte. The weather may be good but that means many people vacation up there and that makes it harder to find lodging.

I do not think that this is a major problem, as Spanish summer holidays start mid-July. By this time you will be closer to Santiago where there is more accomodation available than at the beginning. And the camino turns inland, so you will not compete with tourists anymore.

Ok I was reading that the timeframe I’m choosing would be really hot. It really shouldn’t be problem as where I live our summer temps run 90+

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
IMO, the absolute premier walk is LePuy to Santiago--about 70 days. Contains the best of all worlds: France: scenery, food, kindness of locals. Spain: infrastructure, table wine, pilgrim family. And the feeling of even a fat aging body after 30 days of conditioning walking is unbelievable. The CF was like walking on air. Weather then will be hot!!

Stick to your plan. You have a lot of time to mooch around the forum and find out everything you could possibly want to know. Then go. Just go. And be ready to be surprised!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Was on the Frances last summer July-Aug, and bubbles were spread out until Saria. As far as heat, I probably only had a handful of "hot" days (but I start early and didn't really hike past 2p). Stick to your plan if this is your first camino, and your intentions are to experience Camino
