Best way to reach Ponferrada from Barcelona?

Hello,

I will be walking the camino from Ponferrada to Compostela in late March-April. I only have 10 days, and therefore thought this distance was a safe bet. But I live in Barcelona, and therefore would appreciate anyone's advice on the best (cheapest/fastest) way to reach Ponferrada? Thanks so much.

Renfe have two trains to Ponferrada.
09.20 arrives 18.38 = 9 h. 18 min. ± 70 euro
20.20 arrives 06.22 = 10 h. 02 min. ± 95 - 125 euro
