Hi
I land on Biarritz around 1pm and heading into beach area for a little walk along beach and maybe a swim, glass of vodka and cranberry juice before catching the train 6pm at Bayonne to SJPDP I will be by self at this stage wondering if another traveler/s like to join and head to SJPDP.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
You might be able to pull that off in 5 hours but then maybe not unless you are ready to grab a taxi. There is a spectacular park with a small popular bar overlooking the beach formerly known as 100 Marches (Cent Marches, misnamed after the number of steps down to the beach because trust me there are more than 100 steps.) It has since been renamed but most of the locals know it by it former name. It is on a bus line which originates at the Biarritz Gare and you can no doubt get by bus from the airport to this location by some convoluted fashion but mind you they change the routes and schedules each season, so you will have to consult the timetables closer to when you arrive in Biarritz. The bus line which passes this park stops at the Biarritz Maire where you can find a connection to a line that goes to the Bayonne Gare. It's all pretty simple and provencial as far as bus lines are concerned. Buses cost 1 Euro and your ticket is good for an hour of rides. They don't like making change, so have some coins available.
Vodka and cranberry is not a local drink, UGH! We drink rose and argue endlessly as to whether the Spanish ones are better than the ones from Provence.

I love, love, love this coast line. Enjoy the drink, and the time!
