Hello. I would like to rent a bicycle in Paris, France and then bike to Saint Jean where I will start the Camino Frances on foot. Is this possible?

Hi, if you do cycle from Paris, then have a look at La Voie Littorale, from Soulac (on the coast near Bordeaux), to Bayonne. There are some fabulous cycle tracks all the way, going in and out of the coastal towns and through the pine forests.

Sure. It's actually very much more popular by bike, and there's a nifty glossy booklet of routes and maps available for the route as far as Tours that you can pick up in tourist offices.

I would imagine that the cathedral in Tours would have info for going on from there, just as they do for pedestrians.
