Boat Crossing Assistance Needed

I am nearing the end of the spiritual variant, and was hoping to catch the boat(s) to cross from Vilanova de Arousa to Pontecesures on October 3. The three companies that I have seen listed elsewhere on this site are booked for that day. Has anyone had any luck just showing up at the dock and getting a seat? I didn’t realize a reservation was necessary based on a few of the guidebooks I referenced, but encountered another pilgrim today who said otherwise. I suppose I could walk…

Do you have your lodging in Vilanova booked for Oct. 2? If so, ask them if they can get you on a boat the next morning. They should know the companies involved and how the system works.

Definitely don’t just show up! The boat I was on yesterday turned someone away yesterday who tried that. Good luck, it’s a wonderful ride!
