Hi My name is Bob and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I am mid sixties and planning to begin my Camino in SJPP around 6/7 May 2011. Is there anyone who might be doing the same ?

May I suggest the following to open up the full gambit of info available to you:

Consider joining the Class of 2011...this is a topical area that includes pilgrims that will, or are planning to walk the Way in 2011.

Another option is the Pilgrim FAQ at the top right of the page.

Right below that is a SEARCH area...just type in a word(s), i.e. SANDLES...and up pops many links.

At the bottom right is the Camino Calendar...here you will find not only events that will happen throughout the year, you can also see who will be walking the Way at the same time and add your own itinerary so others can find you.

Good luck with your camino, I too am from Melbourne, but my camino is planned for late may. So I doubt we will cross paths.
