You can either eat at Orisson, get food at your albergue (some will pack you a breakfast for next day), or buy food in town at the several markets to take with you.

How early is 'early'? I found a boulangerie (bakery) that opened at 6:30am (heavenly croissants and other delectable treats) and a couple of bars open by 8:30am, all in the center of town. There is a shop and a boulangerie directly on the street you walk out of town on - the shop probably opens later, but I suspect the bakery will be serving pilgrims by 8:00am.finos334 said:

My standard Camino breakfast plan is to pick up some fruit and yogurt at the store the night before and then stop at the first open bar for a coffee. But in SJPP the croissants are too good to pass up!
Orisson will have food, but it's eight steep kms away, and I personally can't do that climb on an empty stomach or without the psychological comfort of my morning hot beverage.
