Hi my name is Chris. I will be is SJPP on the 7th of September and am walking the Camino for about six weeks. My mom will be joining me but we are both certain we will not spend the whole time together. I know I will meet many amazing people along the way but i'm interested in seeing if anyone around my age will be there in that time range. I'll be 24 when I do the Camino and am interested in finding a few friends to spend some time with.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Keep your fingers crossed. The youth movement diminishes when school starts again in September, but you may find several in your age group!

Hi Chris,
My 20 year-old nephew walked with me last year and I hardly saw him during the day!
You will make new friends every day and depending on your pace, and theirs, you might go ahead of them or they ahead of you - you might meet up again, or not! Then you make new friends, walk together for a few days and, maybe stay in the same places. Then they might have a rest day and you not - or vice-versa - and so it goes on the Camino. Almost a quarter of pilgrims on the Camino this year have been under the age of 30 so you'll have lots of opportunities to socialise!
Have a great walk - and spend some time with your Mom!

well, i'll be walking the same time as you but I'm older (38). I think you'll probably find that age is relative when traveling. Last night I had drinks with 4 people aged 22, 39, 67 and 53. We had a great time. Tomorrow I'm having dinner with two 70+ers and I can't wait. Shared experience is more important than shared age in my experience.

Most of the fruit growing is in peoples orchards and on private ground :( . However there will be lots of fresh fruit in the shops and some places sell it by the roadside. We found strawberries and an 'honesty box' between Melide and Boente (Camino Francés) this year. :D They had a lovely sello too

All along the Camino trails are prickly bramble creepers with delicious blackberries that you can pick at will.
If you are lucky, you might find figs apples or even pears on a few straying trees hanging over the path - but don't pick the fruit in people's gardens or farms! They rely on this fruit for making their preserves and drinks.
There are many fallow vineyards with grapes growing wild along the edges of the Camino path. Just be careful that animals haven't lifted their legs on them - or that they have been sprayed with insecticides - so wash them first!
We found walnuts and almonds alongside a few country roads with no houses for miles. Some farmers put out baskets or basins of fruit for passing pilgrims - always such a treat and a privelege!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
