Does anyone know whether it is possible to get a bus from Belorado or Santa Domingo to Leon? I cannot find anything on the internet.

Jenny, there are a number of buses a day from Santo Domingo to Burgos - and then from there to Leon on ALSA.
Santo Domingo is on the Logroño to Burgos line on Jiminez http://www.autobusesjimenez.com/ - You can only book tickets on this both one month in advance (not earlier).

There is one bus per day on ALSA from Santo Domingo to Leon

We sent a couple a couple of injured pilgrims from our group from Belorado to Burgos. I can't remember the bus line but it left around 9am. This was around mid september.

Autobuses Jiminez provides service from Logrono to Burgos and picks up at Santo Domingo.

ALSA provides service from Burgos to Leon.

Renfe provides train service from Burgos to Leon.

You'll have to contact them to find out about bicycles. My guess is you'll have to put it in a box so it fits in baggage area without taking up a lot of space.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
