On the Archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela’s web page (http://www.archicompostela.org/Peregrinos/Inglés/Peregrinsantiago.htm) that Sil provided us with, appears the following:

“During the month of April, 7010 pilgrims were received at the Pilgrim’s Office. The number of pilgrims in the year 2005 during the same period was 3307. Of those pilgrims, 2903 were women and 4107 men. 5855 pilgrims arrived on foot, 1119 by bicycle, 35 on horseback and 1 in a wheelchair…3053 pilgrims were younger than 30 years old; 3397 were between 30 and 60 years old; 559 were aged above 60 years old."

Interesting stats. Wonder why the number of pilgrims has more than doubled for April/07. Also, it's so nice to belong to the exclusive age group that has the least number of pilgrims, don't ask me why :!:

Xm, that's 7,010 pilgrims for the year 2006. The April 2007 results are of course not available yet, there's still the fourth week upcoming, and I doubt if they will have the numbers posted soon. There seems to be several months backlog.

Mark, help me out here, am :? .

The Pilgrims' Office says that there were 93,924 pilgrims for the year 2006.

You’re telling me that there were 7,010 for the year 2006.

In the first paragraph above they said “during”, which I interpret for the month of April, on-going, as u say, it’s not finished, yet. Am not reading that as since January.

I'm terrible with statistics. What gives?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

In 2005 Easter Sunday was 27th of March, in 2006 Easter Sunday was 16th of April. Perhaps this can explain why the number of pilgrims was doubled this year compared to the year before when "Easter pilgrims" walked in March?

(Just a little theory...)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Just to clarify (my fault), the Archdiocese data shows the April 2006 numbers at 7,010 which is double that of April 2005. There are no April 2007 numbers yet.
