Camino Bound June 2015

I am going to experience my first Camino solo. There are so many emotions but the excitement of an adventure like this one will win out against the anxious thoughts. I will arrive the first week in June . I look forward to the many moments of clarity and confusion that await me.

When did you walk the camino? Your biggest challenge?

When did you walk the camino? Your biggest challenge?

Hi again!
I walked from mid July to mid August. Biggest challenge was..I think....making that first step and ..leaving home and family... I had decided to go solo too and everyone was very dubious...(YOU???? Walking?...)
The 1st kilometres to Orisson were hard : I hadn't had time to 'train' much and I did wonder if I could carry on climbing like this for much longer ... In fact, those first hours are the hardest, the climb is much easier after Orisson.
So yes, deciding to go was the biggest challenge! And making it to Roncesvalles!
