I would love to do the Camino de San Salvador which is only about a week through the most spectacular scenery. I have walked the Camino Frances many times with others and on my own but hesitate to do this one on my own as I tend to be absent-minded and I miss arrows. Looking for someone to walk with starting around May 1st but am flexible.

I'll be on the Portuguese around this time but next year hoping to do the San Salvador/Primitivo for my 60th birthday. Please let us know how you get on in regards to weather/difficulty etc and good luck finding someone to walk with.

I’ve only walked it twice but both times had other pilgrims around each night. There are lots of arrows - hard to miss!

I went with a friend last May. We saw 4 pilgrims the entire hike. Very well marked. Beautiful. Use Endor's guide, make reservations, take snacks and dress warm. I'm 67. I'd love to do it again.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi Danielle, I wish I could join you! I walked it alone in the fall of 2022 and, with one exception, did not miss an arrow. (And I share your same trait.) I met 4 pilgrims total. Mostly good weather plus rain, which made the rocky stretches slippery. The month of May might still be cold; maybe even snowy. The CF has been wet and cold — but it is early April. Buen camino!

Hi Danielle, I am also contemplating walking that route but not until June 8. If you do walk it solo please post. Good luck!

I can't join you, but I really loved this Camino last year. A lack of arrows wasn't really a problem. If you tend to miss them you can always get an app like Wise Pilgrim and then if you ever get worried that you've gone astray you can check it and either set your mind at ease when you see you are still on Camino or see how to get yourself back on the trail.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Either make sure you are very fit before the start or give yourself a few days walking beforehand as it is a tougher than average route.
