Camino Portuguese in Oct/Nov

Time of past OR future Camino
Oct/Nov 2017
We are looking at doing either the Coastal or Central routes in Oct/Nov and are wondering what level of pilgrim traffic we can expect at that time. Obviously, CF is busier than either of these routes at any time of year. But meeting other pilgrims is part of the Camino experience, so we want to make sure we won't be the only ones out there.

Thanks!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hello @MoJoWanders
I walked CP from Porto in first half of November last year (in magnificent late summer weather:)).
I walked Littoral (seaside) route for two days then moved in to coastal route. I met maybe a dozen other people walking over two weeks. You won't be alone but it is quiet. I loved it.
The seaside route was very beautiful but I'm sure would not have been in bad weather.
Just on two days I had two walking companions. This suited me perfectly but it is a very different experience from the CF.

I walked out of Lisbon in October 2016 and met two pilgrims the first week.

If you're walking from Porto, you'll meet a lot more people...

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
