Car Parks

I'm preparing for a two night visit in May, and I want to pre-book rooms in a modest hostal. Having studied a large scale Town Centre Map, it seems sensible to leave our car in one of four central Car Parks from 18.00 on Day 1 until 09.00 on Day 3, and then to choose a Hostal within easy walking distance.

I've got details of plenty of suitable hostals, but have no idea of the suitability or the tariff of any of these car parks:

(1) Praza de Galicia
(2) Rua de Ramon Pineiro
(3) Auda Rodrigo de Padron
(4) Praza Roxa

Could someone please either respond quoting the current tariffs, or elso pass on Fax Numbers or e-mail addresses for the Enterprises running these four Car Parks?

Many thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi Lawson,

I have parked in different underground parkings in Santiago, for a few hours or so, but not for a longer period. To be honest I don't remember the price for full day parking, but the first few hours are about 1 euro/hour.

Take a look at the following article, it explains a bit. It looks like the underground parking at Plaza de Vigo is the cheapest one.

The first hour: 0.85 euro
2nd hour: 0.95 euro
The whole day: 6.45 euro

Plaza de Galica is located about 10 minute walk from the Alameda park. If you have a map you will find it.

Also, please not that if your stay is over the weekend parking at campus sur (Campus of Univ. de Santiago de Comp) is free. Weekdays you need to pay between 9-14 then 16-20.30. You may save a few euros, but then you would have to run down there every few hours to add more coins.

Plaza de Vigo sounds like a good choice if you ask me.

Welcome to Santiago!

Ivar
