Camino Primitivo (May 2015)
We are walking the Primitivo in May, and are planning on moving pretty quickly - 11 days in total. How much cash should we bring along? I assume there are bank machines in places like Lugo should we run short?

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
If you check out the Mastercard ATM locator you will find where there are ATMs. The default in the table is USA - change this to Spain and then put in the various towns along the Camino - eg Tineo etc. You can also specify machines which do not themselves charge a fee etc. The results show location, bank name etc on a map and a list.
Note:- If you use the drop down at the top the pages will come up in Spanish.
I presume that Visa also have a find ATM facility, but I believe that all their ATMs carry a charge. Others may know if this is correct

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-

Thanks! This is great information, will definitely look it up before going so we only need minimum cash. However, what's a good "daily" budget to have for food and shelter? we'll eat out - won't try to cook in even where facilities are available.

Bunk - 10 euros (some will be cheaper and you can have an extra bottle of vino tinto!)
Breakfast - maybe 4 (I don't know - we always bought some stuff from a supermercado rather than stopping at a bar)
Lunch - ditto
Dinner - 10-12 (or you might eat your main meal at lunchtime then just have a bocadillo for dinner)
Snacks - a couple of euros to round the daily total up to 30!
More if you're staying in more pricey accommodation.

I have been trying to find a way to avoid the circus during the last stages of Frances. In two hours you can take the Lugo - Ourense train and walk the last stages on the Plata. Is it a good idea...
https://www.alojamientoloshospitales.com/albergue I found a link to this place in an old thread, but can't find it on WisePilgrim, the Gronze map or if I search by address. Can someone tell me...
Hi all Heading out for a meal tonight and Pilgrim mass before starting the Primitivo tomorrow. Any recommendations on where to get a great meal in Oviedo?
