CDG Time between Flights

So my original plan was to fly into CDG and take a train to SJPDP. I only have 21 days total to walk, and after thinking it over I have decided my best approach is most likely to start in Burgos instead of SJPDP and then trying to figure out where to transfer ahead. Seems much easier to just walk 21 straight days to Santiago then try and figure out all of the bus/train/taxi options.

So I have already booked my flight and I really can't change that from CDG to MAD without it being quite expensive. So, I have decided to try and book a flight from CDG to MAD. My question is how long should I expect to take after arrival before I can get to my next flight at CDG.

I arrive in CDG at 7:30am on Delta which looks to arrive in terminal 2E and I have these options for flights that I am looking at to Madrid:

8:30am on Iberia (Located in Terminal 3)
9:05am on Air France (2E, 2F or 2G)
12:15pm on Air France (Located in (2E, 2F or 2G)

Just trying to get some advice on how long of a layover I should take to safely make my connection in CDG. I have never been there, but I am assuming it is a very big airport and I know Customs can be painful to get through in any international Airport.

Any advice would be awesome.

Thanks,

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I would advise 12:15 p.m. If you are fortunate and everything goes as planned, you will have some time to relax between flights and eat breakfast. If something does go wrong (delayed flights, waiting for your luggage, lines at customs, lines at security) you will not miss your flight. On several occasions during our travels to Europe, we have needed more than five hours to make our connections although three hours is usually adequate. If you are not checking your luggage, two hours may suffice. Hope that helps! Buen Camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
AirFrance has a flexible rate that allow you to change plane times during the day of travel. I assume you are taking the RDU-CDG flight which is usually on time (check flight aware dot com). You will have to clear customs/immigration and then go back through security. Keep in mind that AirFrance is having a strike right now...not sure when they will settle on a new deal...and they are canceling some flights. Hope all goes smoothly for you.
We have booked a flight to Geneva on AirFrance in addition to the our RDU-CDG because of the rail strike.

EdandJoan reminded me that during our first Camino we flew into CDG. We were booked on an Air France flight that was cancelled because of a strike. We ended up on a train between cars because it was packed. The start of an amazing journey.

Dear all,
I have similar question - I am still checking all flight option to Biarritz.
Option Paris:
First flight will arrive at terminal E at 5:10 pm, and easyjet for biarritz (terminal D) is at 7:30pm.
I am not fan of CDG airport, but this is actually doable... If i will be fast enough :) I am not sure is it possible to walk between terminals? Or I have to use bus? Bus will take much more time than just walking...

I would appreciate any advice/comment on this flight schedule.

I think it would be very tight. Customs/immigration can take a very long time. I have been through CDG many times and the biggest issue is changing airlines and collecting baggage.
