Just a reference note for further planning - if you want to avoid great crowds on your Camino, do check a list of local fiestas… I believe I saw one even here on the forum, but did not pay much attention to it.

And how great was our surprise an hour ago when we arrived in Lugo (after seven and a half days walking from Villaviciosa) to find the city all in the streets for the San Froilan fiesta…
 
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi, did it impact on your accommodation plans?

Personally, love stumbling on Fiestas, but the noise may bother the early risers!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Not forgetting that next Thursday is the (national) holiday of la Día del Hispanidad, celebrating the day Columbus "discovered" the Americas (possibly slightly to the surprise of the many indiginous inhabitants, who may have already known it was there).

As it's a Thursday this year, some businesses will make a long weekend "puente" of it, closing on Friday as well.
