Camino portugues
Hi,

My Mum and I are planning to walk to the last 100 miles of the Camino portugues from Ponte de Lima, starting next weekend. We're organised with the pilgrim passports but I was just hoping for some advice about where to find the pilgrim stamps - particularly for our starting point (I'm sure we'll soon get the hang of it!).

We're staying in B&Bs/hotels rather than the pilgrim hostels and having our luggage transferred and I wasn't sure if that would make it more complicated?

Any advice much appreciated!!

Almost all the businesses you find along the way will have a stamp: bars, restaurants, hotels, shops,.... Also many churches, tourist information offices, council offices, police stations, post offices,.... If you ask your hotel for one and wherever you stop for food or drink you should be fine. Not a problem to find two per day which is all that the pilgrim office require.

Thank you for the reassurance - I'm sure it will all seem easy once we get started!

I did a similar thing last autumn. Having had a stamp from my accommodation I would aim to get a stamp at my first coffee stop then I didn't need to worry. I often got more than 2 a day if I liked another place too. Everywhere I stayed they were familiar with pilgrims and had stamps. There are lots of pilgrims that stay in hotels and B&B's along the Way.
It is a beautiful walk you will have great time I'm sure. The vines and sweetcorn are being harvested it's a gorgeous time of year and the early morning light is stunning.
Buen Camino
