Time of past OR future Camino
2 Camino Frances, next: April 2020 Primitivo
Hello all 🙋‍♀️🇫🇮
I'm 56 years old and I have done Camino Frances in two parts, got Compostela last April. What's next? Thinking of Primitivo or Ingles next spring, probably going alone this time.
I'm a social worker, working with adults who have mental problems. Walking Camino gives me a chance to listen to myself for a while.
So, happy to be here and Buen Camino to all of you 😊

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Hello and welcome!

I really like both the Primitivo and the Ingles. But out of the two the Primitivo wins hands down on beauty. You will not be disappointed with either.

Buen Camino

Hi
Hi Mettetati,

Against my better judgment ( haha) Camino Primitivo it's absolutely gorgeous. But challenging! I'm 67 and I did it. I would highly recommend using a Daypack no more than 5 kg and sipping the balance of your equipment to the Albergue you will stay at.
The Primitivo is not as crowded as the French and some of the other. There's more of a sense of community, talking to each other and caring for each other. More of a true pilgrim experience. Instead of a bucket list item (In my opinion!)
I hope it's helpful.
Buen Camino

Hello, and Thank you 😊 Great pictures!
My backbag didn't weigh more than 5-6 kg (Deuter 32 l) on Frances, so I carried it and it was no problem. But I have understood that on primitivo there are more steep ups and downs. So I'll keep your advice in mind 👍

Hello from your neighbouring country Sweden :)
So did you decide now for either of the two? I am considering the Primitivo in Spring 2020 ... also due to lack in time for a longer one ;-)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hello there, neighbour 🙋‍♀️ Hej, trevligt att se här! 😊
I will go to Ingles. I would really want to go to Primitivo, but due to some medical issues I think it would be too hard for me. Maybe next year there.

Verkligen trevligt :)
Unfortunately Finnish is impossible for me ... learning Swedish keeps me busy enough (originally from Germany) Hence I cannot send you any reply in your language ;-)

Well, good luck and fun with the Ingles then! Shorter but certainly also an experience!

Danke, fur dich auch Buen Camino! 😉
Finland is such a small country we have to learn other languages if we are travelling abroad. And as you know, Finland has a lot of common history with both Sweden and Germany - so many here speak both.
