It may change, but as of today I need a COVID test to return home from Spain despite being fully vaccinated. I'm wondering if anyone can provide an updated list of testing sites in Santiago? I will have no time between connections to have a test in Madrid at the airport. The list I have sends me way out of the Old City ( not any walking distance ) and the government sites I've checked do not even include Santiago. Grateful for any help ahead to plan as I'll only be in Santiago one full day and departing very early morning for home.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I recommend the telehealth kits upthread from @trecile
You don’t have to line up. You can do it wherever you are, as long as a you have a smart-phone (you need the camera for the nurse on the other end to see what you are doing).
Those departing from Canada can purchase the SWITCH brand through the Air Canada website.
Kits have 2 tests in them.

@KJFSophie are you walking now? If you are still at home you might want to order the kits with the video oversight before you come to Spain. Just make sure they are not expired by the time you leave or I don't believe they won't be accepted.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Have you used any these telehealth testing sites yet? Wondering which is better?
Some forum members have used the Binax kits. I don't know about the other brands.
Here's some infornation from @Susan Peacock
Yes, I too used the Abbott Binax test from Emed when returning from Spain. It was very easy. Just don't break the seal or open any part of the test until directed to do so. They will walk you through the entire test. You phone camera must stay on the test kit for 15 minutes and a timer will be seen on your screen. At the end of the 15 minutes you indicate that you are ready to have the test read. They will then send you the test results by email as well as the app.
Also, note that the original kits expired in 6 months, but the FDA extended these dates another 6 months. It is possible to have a kit that looks like it has expired but it has not. A list of these can be found online. The kit I took in October had an expiration date before my November return date, but I was fine.

Something to keep in mind - the BinaxNOW kits are quite bulky - roughly 9x5x1 inches each. They weigh almost nothing - 1 5/8 ounces. If you're paranoid you might want to take 2 of them in case one is damaged or fails in some way. As mentioned above, the seal can't be broken and the box is quite flimsy, so you can't repackage it for backpack convenience. We are reconsidering the kits and looking into testing sites at our departure city (Bilbao) instead. Or I might find some way to wrap the kits in a custom made box of sturdier construction so they don't get crushed in all the abuse my backpack contents are used to.

I agree with @trecile, a self-test may be the easiest and most convenient for all Americans coming over. Trying to find a clinic within a day of your flight out of Santiago is proving to be more difficult.

Revimedic clinic was closed over the winter but I think they're open again. However, they're not open on Saturday or Sunday: https://www.facebook.com/Clínica-Revimedic-105993517937572/

HM La Rosaleda also has information in English, but again, they're not open on Saturday or Sunday: https://www.internationalhm.com/en/patient-services/covid-19-tests-medical-information

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

You can order tests that have a telehealth component to take with you.

I brought these tests for our camino in April in Portugal. Am planning to take it 24 hr. prior to leaving for home to the US. It is important to down load the app for Binax called Navica and set up an account prior to leaving your home country. Once you are ready to take the test someone will come on-line to direct you and you receive an email with your results fairly quickly. I don’t know if you can get these tests other than the US but I’m sure there are similar products.

I found this place (with help from someone on the forum). I had the test done on March 31st, on my way to the train station:

Revimedic

email: revimedic@hotmail.com

The antigen test cost 30 euros anad the address is: SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA, 6 2C

It's not too far from the cathedral, maybe a 10 minute walk. They got me in the next morning, first thing, all communication done through this email address. They were punctual and efficient and the test and the results were all done within about 15 minutes.

Good luck.
