Does it ever stop – and do I want it to?

Time of past OR future Camino
🐢. . . . . . . . .
The day after tomorrow, early morning, I will be off on my fourth Camino. All travel arrangements are in place, I have been training, all equipment are sorted out and I can pack my backpack with everything in a couple of minutes. I mean, I have done this before, so why am I still feeling tense, excited, even slightly nervous? It oughta be like ‘just another day in the office’, right?

Perhaps it’s because I never was able to practice the art of ‘going without any expectations’. I do have expectations, a lot! As I have said it before, if I didn’t have expectations I would never get out of the couch. I also know that reality may well turn out to be different from my expectations and that I have to be ready to embrace those new circumstances – which just makes the whole thing even more exciting. I like my expectations, but we are all different.

Anyway, as usual I will be doing my Camino ‘off-line’, only contact to home-base in case of crisis, no forum or ‘live from the Camino’, I want to be where I am, mentally as well as physically and experience whatever happens undisturbed (yes I know, very egocentric).

So for now, ‘hasta luego’ :)
