Hello fellow pilgrims,

I'm doing my second Camino Frances early Novemver 2017, taking 2 other ladies with me (both seniors).

I'm a little concern about he weather in November, anyone done it during that time ?

We will be staring from SJPDP, will the path be closed ? or should i take the valley ?

How was the albergue ? I'm guessing most of the public albergues will be closed, and the luggage service still avalible ?

any advice will be most welcome.

thanks !

I can only answer a couple of your questions.
The weather can be inclement during November, I suggest you take wet weather gear and some long sleeve layers.

You will have to muse the Valcarlos route because the napoleon route will be closed.

Regarding the Albergues, there is a list of those that are open out of season, but I'm not sure where it's located.

Have a wonderful journey.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
To begin your research on late autumn/winter walking check out the links/tips posted in this earlier thread.

Most of us who walk in late autumn and winter wear and carry lightweight but warm layers which can easily be added or removed while walking. Each pilgrim develops a favorite combo. Scan the Forum's Equipment
