Camino frances to Fisterra/Muxia 2013, twice in 2014, 2015, twice in 2016, 2017, a week on the VdlP
Hi All,

I am not sure if this initiative has been discussed here yet but I have only just seen it on Albergue Verdes Facebook profile. It seems like a brilliant idea. My Spanish language is very basic and I plan to google translate for more information but was wondering if any forum members knew more. I would definitely be interested in staying at participating albergues and it seems a mini credential can lead to a tree being planted in Galicia.

THE FOREST OF COLLABORATION

The Recycling Camino is a journey that never ends. Because once you start it, the experience stays with you forever.

Our EcoPilgrims know this and that's why we want their commitment to recycling and a garbage-free Camino to be rewarded. And what better reward than giving back to nature what it once lost? That is why, with the help of local forestry technicians, we will replante an area of Galicia with indigenous trees.

To collaborate, all you have to do is take your EcoPilgrimCompostela in any of the EcoAlbergues along the Camino and follow these simple steps:

Follow Ecoembes on Instagram or Twitter.
Upload a photo of your EcoPilgrim Compostela stamped in three EcoAlbergues with the hashtag #EcoPilgrim.*
For each photo uploaded we will plant an indigenous tree in an area of Galicia.

Even the longest path begins with a first step.

*Between June 1 and October 31, 2019.

**To repopulate a maximum of one hectare.
