Fellow pilgrims. Your correspondent on The Way has an exclusive news item to share.
Due to the depressed economic situation in Spain, and the consequent need to attract more tourists, the government has initiated a dramatic response to declining pilgrim numbers along, especially, the meseta between Burgos and Leon.
To alleviate the somewhat monotonous stage between Fromista and Carrion de los Condes, a brand new "Travelling Karaoke Show" will operate along the path, encouraging pilgrims to participate in uplifting impromtu concerts.
Walkers will be encouraged to sing their favourite song , which will be recorded for later playback in the next albergue. Prizes will be awarded for the most apposite renditions, such as, "These Boots are made for Walking", or, "Little Arrows". Or even, make up a new song, for example, "Paint a yellow arrow on the next oak tree".
Please support this wonderful new idea.
Recordings/auditions start at Fromista on April 1st.

I altered 'If you're going to San Francisco" by Scott McKenzie while I was walking. I only did the chorus though (didn't know the whole song lol).
