After all this time, I've finally become a donating member of this forum. I don't know why it has taken so long. This forum has given me so much valuable information, and friendship, since I first joined. I am ashamed that it has taken me so long to give this small token of my appreciation. Thanks, Ivar, and everyone who reads, laughs, cringes, etc., at the words (and few photos) I occasionally post.
This is one New Year's Resolution I can now cross off my list.

Love the honesty Footek. I hope it encourages others. I really don't know quite what my daily life would be without the strength I get from this forum's companionship in the long days between Caminos. So I will take this chance to once again thank the lovely Ivar.

All is forgiven. Welcome to the "lifers club."

We are the hopeless, yet hopeful ones who seek solace and community with our fellow pilgrims. I always feel blue when I do not check in even just to see the forum traffic passing by. Getting liked or having helped someone does tend to brighten my day.

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful. I appreciate everyone here and hope you do too.

Sure is Alex, such a amazing bunch of Camino (friends/ family). Lots of likes, lots of care, lots of understanding each other, and sensitivity to each others needs, and so grateful for each others help and contributions.
Like writing on seaside rock the Camino spirit runs all the WAY through the Forum.

Thank you for creating this place, Ivar: All honour to the one who deserves it.

In addition to being a worldwide learning resource for pilgrim wannabies, it has become a venting place for all of us who just want to repeat the experience. Again and again.

Being able to share with newbies is just a bonus.

Yes. Let's occupy a part of the kitchen of this albergue and cook a meal together, and share, shall we? I'll buy the vino: What will you cook tonight? Oh, I can cook if you want. And then we share cost and stories.

Alex, I've been trying to perfect my recipe for the perfect Spanish tortilla since July 2013. Maybe this year . . . ? Of course, if you bring enough Rioja, my recipe won't matter!! You're all invited to my kitchen - you just have to show your credencial to get in. Ivar/staff and moderators, you get in for free!

I wonder if we could actually do such a virtual communal pilgrims meal? I guess we have all food and wine photos, hm, perhaps a Google hangout? Any other ideas how to do that in real time? SY

While the Amigo Program will not be operating at least for 2015 (per a separate note from Johnnie) I will still be along some time this year, once my consulting stint is done. I owe you and your good lady a dinner as I recall. I ALWAYS make good on my promises. I will be back!
