Time of past OR future Camino
September (2020)
Hi all, I will start my first camino on March 21st. After longing to do this for 30 years! I read on pilgram site that the route from St Jean du Pied du Port to Roncesville was closed but was wondering if this referred to the high route only, which I wasn't intending on doing anyway. Can somebody please advise, otherwise I may start in Pamplona

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Wishing you well Donna. Buen Camino!

I would check with my airline if you are an American. You may not be going anywhere from the US this month.

Not one of my greatest skills. But I did like the name "kinda sounds like" donner kebab. On of my favorite late night noshes.

Even non-Americans may be affected by cancellations--the increasing number in Spain, that is. Check with the other threads at this forum for continually updated information. There are even hints (and not just here) that Madrid-Barojas may close.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

The name is based on that, a nickname I was given many years ago. Aust govt now advising against any international travel and 2 weeks self quarantine on return but that may change by tomorrow! On the bright side I was able to buy toilet paper today! Not sure if you're aware but hoarders have been buying it out for weeks now

I will now very sadly report that I will be delaying my camino journey until later this year hopefully when covid is not so dangerous, I have waited 30 years so a few more months won't matter. This was timed to celebrate 5 years since being diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, maybe the later time will coincide with 5 years of being cleared. Sometimes things happen for reasons beyond us all. Buenos suerte todo peregrines.
