Whatever you decide to wear make sure that they're well worn-in before starting the Camino.

I like peanut butter better, as long as it is not the chunky kind.NOK's Karite (Shea) nut butter plant extract naturally reinforces the sknis defence mechanisms

We walked in 2008 and used a pair of Merrell hikers with ventilation. Never had even a single blister, they were super comfortable. Am definitely using them again this summer. More important I think is that you wear proper socks. We use fairly heavy merino woollen ones and put liner socks inside of them. This will keep moisture away from your feet.LTfit said:Thanks for tips and links (great John - also lists you gave regarding budget/packing/spanish vocabulary)
Have been reading a lot about socks/boots/shoes and there are indeed many opinions and suggestions. Will just need to try on lots of models and take a leap and buy!
Cheers,
