Thanks a mill.. That 6 weeks will fly by in a flash. I can't believe this night next week I will be in Madrid. It seems like only yesterday when the flights were booked but that was back in October!
I'm the same nervous/excited:)

Ye will love it, maybe at times doubt ye're sanity for doing it, but guaranteed you'll get home and within a short space of time be trying to work out time off to do it all again!
I travelled with my cousin last year, going solo this year and it adds a little to the nerves, maybe a lot, but it also creates a since of adventure so hopefully I'll stay focused on that aspect, I only have five walking days, jealous of your 17!!
Buen Camino, Go n-eiri an bothar leat :)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

It is so funny when you say it to people that you are going to Spain and then follow with 'To walk over 2ookm's of the Camino'. You tend to get some funny looks, but you also get the people who wish they were going too.
There's four of us travelling together, we will only be walking for about 12 days. We have an overnight in Madrid first and we have a day or two at the end, depending on our progress.
I don't think you need to worry about walking on your own, from what I've read on here, I don't think you are ever alone on the Camino. You will have a great adventure..
