Bill and Treva
Time of past OR future Camino
SJPdP to SdC (Apr/May 2018)
My husband and I are flying out of Miami Apr 23 to Pamplona, then taxi to SJPP. We are over-achievers by nature, and are planning to step out of the taxi and immediately begin the Camino with our first stop at Orisson. That's the plan, but we are also flexible by nature and will take it as it comes. I am 70 and my husband is 69. Very much looking forward to meeting those of you who will be on the Camino at the same time!

Hi treva - welcome to the forum!

The camino is a good place to unlearn over-achievement, if you're open to that. Moderate pace can be a valuable quality. You might also bear in mind that the camino does not necessarily start in Saint Jean Pied du Port. That's only a common starting point because it can be reached easily by train. I only mention that because a taxi from Pamplona airport is expensive, and if you aren't going to stay at SJPDP anyway, you might rethink if it's really necessary to get there. Pamplona would be a good starting point, too.
