Getting From Paris to St. Jean Pied de Port

Hi all,

I am hoping to fly to and stay in Paris for a little bit before starting the camino in St. Jean Pied de Port. Is there an easy way to from Paris to there via train? I do not know French, but in my attempts to look online it doesn't look like St. Jean has a EuroRail station.

Anyone have any advice for this?

Thanks so much!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
If you don't have anywhere to stay in Paris, you could try the Village Hostel - http://www.villagehostel.fr/ 24 euro in a dorm or 30 euro double with breakfast included.
High-speed train (TGV) south to Bayonne or Biarritz - Train from Biarritz (and Bayonne) to St. Jean Pied de Port ± 1hr50 mins http://www.voyages-sncf.com/
You take the #6 bus from the Biarritz airport to the train station. It leaves about every 30 minutes and takes about 45 minutes. Complete bus schedule here:

Train to Bayonne then bus or train to St Jean Pied de Port.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
