Hello, would anyone be able to tell me how to work out public transport from Santiago to León on Sunday the 22nd October. I arrive by plane into Santiago at 15:20, and depending on Ryanair's ability to arrive on time, I wanted to head straight to León. From what I can see there is nothing available, but that doesn't seem right. Any assistance or advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks,

Hi Pierre, looks like the train on Sunday leaves at 8:34am or 10:06am, and there's only one bus that leaves at 8am. Your best bet is to stay overnight in Santiago then leave on Monday morning with the train at 10:06am, or a bus at 8:00am.

If you really want to leave on Sunday you'll need to take a taxi, but that will be quite expensive.

I have the GoEuro app installed on my phone, and it works beautifully - just plug in your dates and your destination, and bus and train options appear with the option to buy a ticket directly in the app. Then print out your ticket somewhere and you'll be set.

Buen Camino!

Thanks Faith, that is really helpful, I thought I was misreading things, I'll go on Monday morning then ... and download the app you mention. Best wishes,

If you take the train, match the train code with the codes you see on the departures board and at the platform. The board most likely won't say "Leon" but rather "Hendaye" (but do double-check). Hope that helps and Buen Camino!
