Camino ingles 9/2018
Hi all,
Me and my wife plannig doing camino ingles on septrmber.
We are from Terra Santa (Israel).
We will land on a Coruna Airport stay one day and going to ferrol to start the walking.
In case that we already made more then 75 km in Terra Santa (also did "via dolorosa" ) can we get two compostela (Compostela Ingles and Compostela Coruna)?
Thank you,

Hola!

There is just THE Compostela and it doesn't matter from where you walk to Santiago if you walked at least last 100km and obtain 2 stamps per day in your pilgrim passport. For walking from A Coruna there is an exception if you walked at least 25km in your country for example.
But back to your question. If you want to obtain Compostela for walking from Ferrol you have to walk from Ferrol. If you want another Compostela than you have to walk 25km at home and walk from A Coruna. So basically you would need to walk Camino Ingles twice because of the stamps ;)

Buen Camino!

Another way of looking at it is the Compostela is given for arriving, not departing. The cathedral of Santiago awards it for arriving -- at the tomb of the Apostle St. James. To qualify, the Cathedral requires walkers to walk 100 continuous kilometers into Santiago.

For the purposes of the Compostela, the starting point isn't important (although there are certain designated routes), but the 100 km ending in Santiago is. Pilgrims are required to get two stamps per day in their pilgrim passports (credentials) for these 100 km, to show they have "walked the walk."

All the best to both of you. May you enjoy every step!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
