I just knew of this thread thanks to a Google Alert. And curiously enough, I learned of the problem with my site a few days ago thanks to another alert sent by Google Webmasters Tools! (So helpful).
Well, it was not a money related problem. For some reason my hosting company had a key file (.htaccess, for those in the know) deleted. Well, turned blank, actually. The thing is that when you make your site rely on this file, it will be unreachable if this file is removed.
Anyway - I fixed it as soon as I could and the site is working again.
Thank you very much for your interest in donating (someone already did and someone asked how to without PayPal - I don't know how, much appreciated anyhow). My costs are lowish, not like those of Ivar's (shared hosting in my case, not great performance), but the few donations I get (about 15 a year, I'd say) just make it possible that I don't have to put money anymore to keep the site online, which is cool!
I'd love to get more routes woorking in the Planner, which is what I assume you'd also like. You'll be the first to know when that happens. BTW, a few months ago, I updated the photo gallery (
http://www.godesalco.com/galeria) with the photo selection of all my Caminos - have you checked it out?
