any camino in spain 2020
Hi there^^

my name is Manuela, 36 years old and I´m new to this forum. I´m from Germany and walked 2014 from Munich to Lindau, this year I will hike another bavarian part of an approach road or maybe starting in Konstanz for two weeks in late september.
My daughter sometimes comes along with me, but most of the time I do day trips alone. Since 2014 I fell in love with pilgrimage.

Now I have a question which I don´t know where to post it, so please forgive me for asking this in the introduction section...
For 2020 I will get about 5 weeks of holiday and I want to hike somewhere in Spain to Santiago de Compostela. I am a pretty slow hiker, I´ll take my time if there is a difficult sektion.
My favorite caminos (which I wanna do) are the Norte, the Primitivo, the Ingles and the Portugese. Starting middle of April, I could also start earlier...
So please if you have any suggestions, whats your one to go and why (pros / cons), because I can not decide between the named ones :(

I look forward to every suggestion you make

Thanks a lot

Hallo Manuela
I did the Portugese one last year. I started from Porto so it took me only 11 days. Maybe you want to start from a point more south? There were alsways enough beds for everyone and it wasn‘t to crowded. If you want to know more about it you can just send me a message. I‘m German so we could write in German.
Viele liebe Grüsse

Hallo Muriel,
thank you, I will send you a pm^^
I wanna be on my way at least for 3 weeks and where ever my camino goes, for the arrival I am afraid of flights and loosing my gear (for example: I need my 2 foldable poles, my metal straw and spoon!). Maybe arriving by train or bus from munich to bilbao and then taking puplic transport to any starting points?!
I am also afraid of crowded places and have claustrophobia :(
And of course super exited, haha

If you like the idea of the Portugese from Porto which takes roughly 11 days, you could add on the Primitivo which takes about 14. That way you would see 2 very different kinds of scenery. You'd also have 2 opportunities to visit Santiago. All of this would easily fit within your 5 week timeframe. Whatever you decide, Buen Camino.

I would do the Norte, then Primitivo down to SDC. Choose your starting point accordingly.

For me, with 5 weeks, I'd start in San Sebastian and take the Norte, or Bayonne down the Baztan and then down the Frances.

Someday I'll have 5 weeks.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
