Camino (2016)
I will be walking el Camino de Santiago in June of this year with a small group of fellow parishioners from my church. As an Episcopalian , this is a profoundly meaningful journey not only because of my faith, but also because most of my cultural heritage comes from Spain. The fact that my grandfather was a Galego, makes it even more special. Although I have been in Spain many times, this will be my first Camino. Before I start this spiritual and cultural journey, I want to learn and prepare as much as possible. I am particularly interested in the Camino's spiritual/medieval history, Galician tales and everything that relates to my Celtiberian roots.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2

This book might be of interest to you: Gitlitz, David & Linda K. Davidson (2000) The Pilgrimage Road to Santiago: The Complete Cultural Handbook. I haven't read it yet, but other forum members have recommended it.
