I wish to purchase a copy of the yellow guide book Chemin de Saint Jacques de Geneve au Puy en Velay. I have been to the web site of Fraternity of St James however I cannot see where this book is available even though other web sites advise that this book is available from them. I have also checked with Amazon France who also show that this book is unavailable. Has anybody got any idea where I could buy a copy?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Simple money transfer for those of us with euro bank accounts.

Thanks for your reply but not so simple for us who live in Australia. I would really like one before we arrive in Geneve, I have heard they are available in Geneve but that does not help with planning. Half the fun of a Camino is in the planning.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The problem has been solved. I also wrote to the Fraternity of St James in London. I just got an answer back that they do have it in stock but had not got around to including it on their online book shop. They were kind enough to send me a link to where I could purchase it and I have since ordered the book. This is the second guide book I have ordered from them over the past 12 months, good people to deal with if you are looking for guide books on any of the Camino's. Their postage is a lot less than some other guide book sellers. So thank you to thoes who looked at my posting and to Crackmrmac for your answer.

Hi marbuck, Could you possibly forward the link to me as I am also looking for a guide for this route and this one may do the trick.
Thank you.
Karen

Hi, the book I ordered was for the Geneve to Le Puy section. The book for the LE Puy to Conques route is the Miam Miam Dodo.

We dont speak French but we managed to buy the book and the map from the site. Be aware that the guide book is in French but you will manage to understand what you need from the book.

How did u enjoy the book u did get? I am considering leaving Geneva in early October and trying to get to St Jean pied de port by early mid November . Unsure about accommodations and weather in that early section.

I never used the book, still sitting on my shelf. We walked from le Puy instead. Spoke to one guy on the Le Puy route who had done it and he said the Geneva route is fairly hard and lonely. Not many people do it.
