I'm having cafe con leche in Hontanas, and am wondering if @movinmaggie made it to Santiago for her 80th birthday. Best wishes to her, whether in Santiago or elsewhere!

Yes, I made it to Santiago 31st. A most amazing journey and as many before me have said "friendships for a lifetime". I found so many younger pilgrims who were unbelievably kind to me. Very touching. I'll recap when I get home....thanks again for those on the forum. MaggieI'm having cafe con leche in Hontanas, and am wondering if @movinmaggie made it to Santiago for her 80th birthday. For the record, I would extend a huge 'Thank You' to all those at the Pilgrim House who made my birthday extra special with a beautiful and delicious cake arranged by Faith and Nate, which was shared at our 'get together' at one of their regular meetings. It just added to the already wonderful celebration I was having that day…..

I did have to show my passport one time going through the Seattle airport. The sign read 'Those 79 years of age and older need not remove their shoes, so I didn't. Then proceeded to be questioned harshly by a woman who asked for proof of my age. I do prefer Movin Maggie. ThanksYou are NOT 80 Maggie.
