Hello Pilgrims

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Just wanted to post that I recently became a member of the forum and that I will be arriving in Madrid May 25th and after plane, train, bus and taxi I hope to arrive at the Auberge du Pelerin the evening of May 25th and to start El Camino on the 26th. Anyone on the same track?

Welcome Luis and Buen Camino!

I won't be arriving at Madrid/Pamplona until June 1, but I wish you a Buen Camino.

Welcome Luis....Neighbor. I am 45 minutes from you in Port Orange, Florida along the east Coast. We will be arriving in Madrid May 20th for our Camino and will be ahead of you. Let me know if you would like to join one of our daily training hikes locally here. Feel free to toss any questions this way. I'm sure we know the same people in the Orlando chapter APOC. Buen Camino and welcome to the forum. Vast data stored here on the Camino. Take some time to research some of the threads. Ed

Hi there
I'm sorry I'm not close enough to join u guys for some training.
I am curious how your going about training?
As usual course I walk 2-4 miles per day for exercise.
I have started walking with a weighted vest. 14 pounds. Going up to 20 pounds as we get into summer. ( I'm starting my Camino the end of July )
Sometime around June 1 I'm going to start walking 5 miles sereral times a week with a 10 mile walk once a week. Again with the weighted vest.
I'm more worried about making my feet blister proof as opposed to the actual physical stamina needed.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
