Time of past OR future Camino
(2014)
My husband Ant (65) and I (57) are planning to walk the Camino in Sept/Oct 2014. Long way off yet but enjoying the planning. Have booked my long service leave etc. Have found the forum really useful for all sorts of questions. Many thanks to all those who share their thoughts, suggestions, photos and tips. :) Julz

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
We live in the Perth hills as well. Lesmurdie.
We are going in Early April 2013. I quit my good job so I can take as much time as I want.
We have been walking the national park to lesmurdie falls etc. When we can walk with packs down and up the steep hill from the lower Perth end up to the top without being to tired, then we will be ready.

The Eagle Trail in John Forest National Park is another good one to train on with the backpacks (and you can have a beer at the end of it, which definately replicates life on the camino :D ).
