OK. Hola. Time to introduce myself.
I am Lillypond (nickname) the one who tried to entice you to the http://www.paltalk.com chat room. ... haven't had any luck so far, except for a delightful conversation with TravellingSoon.

I only heard about the Camino three weeks ago and I am now into all things Spanish. I live in Australia and am planning to walk/shuffle in 2008. I am very grateful to have found this forum and feel that my back is covered. Thanks so much to Ivar, sillydoll and TravellingSoon for their pm's of welcome and support. Thanks to all the other amigos who have posted such valuable detailed reports/blogs/photos and those who have voiced my queries for me.
My interest in the walk arose one rainy day in Sydney when I wandered into a bookshop and bought http://www.theyearweseizedtheday.net
- this book sparked my INTEREST !!!! ........ a story of daily hardship, physical, mental and emotional challenges, a story of friendship and blisters. By the last page I felt that it would be a journey that resulted in a re-evaluation of my current lifestyle and a strengthening of my intentions towards being grateful for life as it presents itself NOW. I could shred a few tears on the journey, release a few attachments........ I may learn to cast aside "possessions" as a means towards happiness ( Am I aiming too high !! ).
I hope to meet those guys who are promising (promises, promises !!! ) foot massages to fellow pilgrims.

Well until I practise walking 5 Ks for my first cup of coffee each morning I wish you all Buen Camino.

Lillypond.
p.s. expect an invitation to http://www.paltalk.com (re chat room) soon with specific opening times to be suggested. Anyone willing to give a 10 mins.+ talk. Q & A following please email - ppdduu@hotmail.com. thanks. Lp.

Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
I am 29 doing the Frances by myself starting in SJPdP next week. I didn’t realize this was a busiest time to do the Frances so I am really nervous about the bed race. I don’t mind socializing or...
