hoping to be on the vdlp on fri april 5th... ray harder

hi, i am a new pilgrim... my name is ray harder and i am from missouri, USA... my bags
are packed and i am ready to go... my bag weighs 33 pounds (about 15k) and i am ok with
that... i am bring a sleeping bag and a down jacket cause i don't like to be cold...

anyway, i am leaving by bus to the airport at 430am tomorrow and flying from
st.louis thru detroit, thru amsterdam into seville... i am planning to stay 2 days
at the hotel behind the cathedral and get my bearings, buy my credentials, and practice
my spanish... i am intermediate spanish and one of the reasons for going (among many)
is to practice with the unsuspecting locals...

this should be so great... i have biked and hiked before and should get into shape in
a week or two... the folklore about the wine being cheaper than water appeals to me..

i am a friendly person and hope to see some people along the trail... ray harder (age=66)

Well, after reading your post again, I guess it'll be too late to unpack unless you check this tonight. So I'll be checking the free boxes as I walk a few weeks behind you to see what you've left behind! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ray, it looks like we'll be setting out at the same time. I fly out this morning for Seville and will start the VdlP on Friday. Hopefully we'll meet up on the trail.

For the record bill and I actually met on the first day at 7:30 on the trail. We got lost together and walked together an extra 3km. We walked through a lot of mud together and it rained much of the day together. We are staying at the same hostal tonight together and ate supper together since we are the only English speaking people here. We are leaving at 6 a.m. and walking together tomorrow.

It seems to me the Camino website is working. And for the record is pack looks pretty full.
