We LOVE the Rua Villar! We've stayed there a number of times and the people are fantastic! The rooms are nice sized, the breakfast is wonderful and the location is amazing. It is literally across the street from the old Pilgrim's Office, if you know where that is located. It is less than one minute walk to the cathedral.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

@batty is looking for a hotel in St Jean Pied de Port (I just edited the title to make that clear), but I'll check out Rua Villar the next time I'm in Santiago.
Oh, funny how you read something that's not actually there! Thanks!

The Central Hotel is family owned. As it says, its very central! The owner was very nice when I stayed there in Oct this year for 1 night. Nice clean modern room. I didn't have breakfast. It was the end of my camino so I did enjoy the comfort. I stayed in a very nice gîte before that, communal sleeping with excellent dinner.

Maison Bidegain Berria is a very nice B&B in Isopure, a small village adjacent to SJPP ( not exactly central but an easy walk). The hosts are a charming couple. Breakfast is provided, and for a small fee, if you want, they will also provide a wonderful home cooked dinner. It can be reserved on Booking.com but may require a two night stay. We stayed there in 2017 and were very pleased.

another vote for Rua Villar! excellent accommodation and great location!

We loved Hotel Central. Our room opened onto the river and the sound of the water trickling over the dam lulled us to sleep. Christine the owner is warm and welcoming.

Several years ago I spent one night at the Hotel Central. It was very nice. The window to my room was over the river. Was quite nice listening to it at night.
